By the way Dave, I've got a new cream that seems to work and it's easy to get online, or maybe even highstreet chemists. It's called Dexeryl. ..company Pierre fabre. I bought it from online chemists. It's about 10£ for a big bottle.
How are you? Well I hope. I hope this new cream is working for you. Surely if the wounds on your feet are continually covered in cream they will not dry out and scab, however I may be misunderstanding. How is your mobility due to this issue or skin tightness? Are you still managing to drive?
I unfortunately have not improved at all, my legs are as stiff as ever making it nearly impossible to walk, I can just about get up and down my stairs and into my kitchen a few times a day. I hope it has started to ease up for you and raise your spirits as I know you need it.
Medical grade honey on wounds has been shown to help people with chronic and non-healing wounds. Medical honey has anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and even anti-odor properties that can help people with chronic wounds.
Thanks Dave, ive checked out the negative pressure 3M thing with my GP and she carefully listened but thought it not appropriate.
To answer your question, I only put the Dexeryl on the hard, thick bits between the wounds. The wounds I'm now covering with dracofoam, it's really expensive, prescribed by the clinic. On top of that a tubular elastic gause 'sock' that I get on a roll and cut to length.
It's not actually improving the condition but it is making it softer, flakier. The wounds, or ulcers, are not improving. It just feels much better than the bandages that were rubbing them raw open. I also use a thing called 'healing wool' which is just unspun sheeps wool, washed but still with lanolin. I use that to upholster my feet for my trainers, I stuff it inside my sock where necessary.
I'm coping a bit better at the moment. I think my recent low point was part of me accepting things. Thanks for being there.
Something that is maybe too personal for you, but gives me strength,,, a podcast, called " the boy, the fox, the horse and the mole,"... or something like that. I have the book with pictures. I take great strength from it. You might enjoy it. You can get it online and they've made it into a film, viewable on you tube, but only a tiny snippet trailer.
I'll get off here. My eyes aren't very good, only gvhd dryness, nothing like February, but you know, the problems come and come.
Hope you can enjoy a peaceful evening and Sunday. I'm at ecp Monday Tuesday.

A coffee I think now is overdue.
